The nearest big town is the "oil-town" Stavanger.
Many people emigrated from Stavanger to America and other country.
There are many relatives in America, but we only know a few of them.

About Jofrids parents: Marta Kolstø is her mother, born and grown up on an Island in Ryfylke (Rogaland) called
Finnøy on a farm Hauske (also written Hauskje and Hausken).
Her maiden name is from a farm in Erfjord (now Suldal) called Kolstø. Alfred Nåden is her father, born in Tysvær (in Rogaland) and grown up on the Island
Finnøy.
His surname name is from a farm on this Island called Nådå (also written
Naaden and Nåden).
About Geir-Arnes parents: Signe Torgersen is his mother, born and grown up on a farm called Jåtten (also
written Jaaten, Jåthun and Jåtun), near Stavanger (in Rogaland).
Her maiden name is from her fathers father, Torger S. Jatten. Her
father was SigurdTorgersen. Selmer Helgeland is his father, born on an Island in Ryfylke (Rogaland) called Ombo,
on a farm Helgeland.
His surname name is from that farm (also
written Helgaland and sometimes also Helland).
